1. African Village Celebration with Onye Onyemaechi
The Oakley Library is hosting percussionist and educator Onye Onyemaechi. This event invites audience participation through music and songs to create the experience of African village life. No registration required. All ages and abilities are welcome. Tuesday 2/20 6:30-7:30pm
2. Sweetheart Breakfast at the Delta First 5 Center
Drop in to the First 5 Center and meet other families, enjoy some heart themed activities, food and fun! The whole family is invited. 2/21 10am-12pm
3. Henna Workshop for Teens
Join us at the Oakley Library to learn about the ancient art of henna/mehndi with local Oakland artist Rachel Palacios and practice making your own designs. Teens will receive a professional henna tattoo from Rachel. 2/21 4:30-5:30pm
4. Celebrate the start of Lunar New Year at The Brentwood Farmer's Market
To celebrate the start of Lunar New Year we're giving out lucky envelopes at the Info Booth to the first 100 customers. Each envelope contains either a limited edition Year of the Dragon sticker or money to spend in the market. 2/24 9am-1pm
Drop in to the Visitor's Center at Big Break Regional Shoreline for this Nature Writing event. In the shortest month of the year, we will create the shortest forms of poetry: haikus. 2/25 2-3pm
