Did you know that girls whose fathers spend quality time with them tend to have higher levels of confidence? In honor of Father's Day this past weekend, we wanted to bring Dads and Daughters together for some quality time, so we hosted our first ever Daddy/Daughter Hairstyling Workshop. Some local Dads and Daughters gathered at The Little & Brave Boutique in Brentwood ready to have some fun and learn how to do some simple hairstyles for their daughters.
Under the guidance of hairstylist Veronica Polk from Vixen + Valor Salon in Brentwood, Dads attempted standard braids, Dutch braids, and a topsy tail. Each girl had her own goodie bag complete with all the supplies they needed (including fruit snacks to help them sit still ) and the dads went to work attempting each of the styles.
One of the highlights of the event was towards the end when the Dads were done doing their Daughter's hair, and we let them switch so the girls got a turn to be the stylist on their Dads. It was a fun morning spending time together. A big thank you to everyone that came out, to The Little & Brave Boutique, and to Vixen + Valor Salon for helping make this happen!
