Have you ever met someone that was so perfect for their profession that you couldn't imagine them doing anything else? The first time I met Rachel Kruse 13 years ago I had never met a person more perfectly suited to be a preschool teacher. Her passion for Early Childhood Education and true joy she exudes working with kids inspired me to enroll my oldest daughter in her school just as soon as she was old enough. It was her first experience with school and she truly developed a love for learning at Love For Learning Preschool in Brentwood.
So, of course, Rachel was one of the first people I thought of to reach out to when I became the Publisher of Macaroni KID Brentwood. She's one of those people I think everyone needs to know. Here's our conversation:
What inspired you to start your business?
We hoped to create an early education experience for our own son and other children that would help them to develop a love for learning.
What do you love most about what you do?
I love everything about L4L, so it’s hard to choose. I love that we get to be a part of children’s first school experience — and get to see them learn, grow, and discover the world around them. I love our amazing teaching staff, and I also love the L4L community we have of incredible families — it is all so wonderful!
What do you love about working in the Brentwood area?
The Brentwood area is such an awesome community for families. It is full of great businesses, opportunities and events for families to enjoy together.
Anything exciting coming up for your business you'd like to share?
Our Summer Camp is coming up, and it is so much fun! We spend June having a blast and learning through fantastic weekly camps. It’s open to everyone. Each week is a new weekly theme focused on one of our ancillary programs like Yoga, Drama, Fine Art, Music Around the World, STEM, and more!
If you had a day off and were staying local, what would you love to do around town?
Our parks are so great here! We love to check out Big Break, hike Round Valley, or explore Black Diamond Mines.
