Brentwood is known for being a family friendly community. And there's some places around town that make you say "I'm so glad our community has this here." Created By You Art Studio is one of those places. The first time I walked in I assumed I'd see some kids art lining the walls but I was surprised to see what a wide variety of things they have to offer.
Everything from Drop in art, to DIY wood signs, workshops, classes and camps for kids, birthday parties and ladies night out. They have something there for everyone to enjoy.
I had the chance to ask owner Laura a few questions about her business so you can know the "why" behind this great place our town has to offer.
What inspired you to want to start your business?
I have homeschooled for 22 years and have always taught art so decided to open the studio so art can be offered to everyone.
What do you love most about what you do?
It's so cool to see people create beautiful art and I love seeing the smiles on their faces at what they accomplished.
What do you love about working in the Brentwood area?
Brentwood is special. It's got that good hometown vibe.
If you had a day off and were staying local, what would you love to do around town?
Oooh... you could probably catch me getting a meal at MJ's in Downtown Brentwood.
