Hello September! Can you believe Fall is just around the corner?! I hope everyone is now getting back in the groove of back to school. That first month flew by! It was quite a month of August for me. If you follow my journey at all you know a lot changed for me in August. We closed our store front Little Miss Everything (you can read about it here) and I am transitioning from that chapter in my life to a new one. One week in and as much as I miss my second home I am loving the little extra time I have to shift my focus! Our Macaroni Kid Brentwood page is getting a lot more love and I am determined to jam pack it with great resources and make it the BEST place to find all your family fun! This upcoming weekend we are lucky to have some great local events planned!
Friday, September 8th Come on out to Brentwood PAL Summer Concert Series final show of 2017! Bay Area Legend Chris Cain will be bringing his unique brand of blues to the main stage, joined by other blues favorites too! BPAL Rocks the Blues! The fun will start at 5PM and end at 10PM.
This weekend at Smith Family Farms is Italian Heritage Weekend in honor of the opening weekend of you pick tomatoes! They will celebrate the impact of Italian American culture in the way we grow and eat tomatoes. Stop by and pick some San Marzano tomatoes, then have a picnic and relax in our herb garden to the sounds of live traditional Italian music. ***UPDATE: We have just been notified this weekend's events at Smith Family Farm have been cancelled due to last weekend's extreme heat. Tomatoes will be available for purchase but the festivities will not take place ***
Sunday at Big Break Regional Shoreline is Second Sundays Campfire. Come down to the Delta for an exciting evening in the park with activities and a family campfire. The program will focus on a family of mammals that call Big Break home- RIVER OTTERS! Fun starts at 6:30PM.
